Before You Schedule

Before you make an appointment with us, please consider the following:

  • Dr. Thunder is committed to helping his patients gradually taper down the amount of opioids they take, with the goal of eventually stopping them entirely. He does not prescribe certain drugs that he considers to be counter-productive to healing, including benzodiazepines (read more).
  • Dr. Thunder uses an integrative, whole-body approach to pain management. This often requires more than a monthly visit to check in with him for a prescription refill.

  • We are not Medicaid providers

  • Our office does not handle cases involved with automobile accidents, workers compensation, personal injury, or disability.

  • You are responsible for calling your insurance company to make sure Thunder Pain Management and Dr. Kenneth Thunder are covered by your plan.

  • We charge a $100 “No Show” fee if you fail to cancel your first visit appointment. We’re happy to waive this if you call 48 hours in advance of your appointment. This will be payable immediately, ineligible for insurance coverage, and solely the patient’s responsibility. Giving us adequate time to schedule another patient will allow us to help as many people as possible, so we thank you for your consideration.

  • You must arrive with your ID, your insurance card, and ALL of your paperwork COMPLETED or you will be rescheduled and charged the $100 No Show fee. Dr. Thunder is very thorough, and if you are late, he will be unable to fully assess your situation.

Please look through the rest of our website. If you think you’d be a good fit for our practice, please give us a call at (775) 336-1256 to schedule an appointment. We look forward to working with you to help you feel better!
