Chronic pain and depression often show up together because they share many of the same pathways in the brain and nervous system. When pain goes on for too long, the brain becomes more sensitive, stress levels rise, and emotions become harder to regulate. Likewise, when someone is struggling with depression, the brain’s ability to filter or quiet pain signals changes, making physical pain feel even worse.
These conditions aren’t “all in your head,” nor are they completely separate problems. They’re intertwined responses to ongoing stress, injury, or nervous-system dysregulation. That said, not everyone experiences both at the same time. Some patients come to us for pain alone, some for depression alone, and many for both. We evaluate each person individually so treatment is tailored to what you need.
Our treatments at Thunder Pain & Wellness are designed to interrupt the cycles that keep pain and depression reinforcing each other. By calming an overactive nervous system, promoting healthy neuroplasticity, and reducing inflammation, we help reset the pathways that influence both physical and emotional well-being.
Whether you’re seeking care for pain, depression, or both, you’ll find therapies below that support healing of the whole person — mind, body, and nervous system — so recovery becomes not only possible, but sustainable.

AMAZING doctor and AMAZING practice. In only 2 hours with Dr. Thunder he noticed I have symptoms of fibromyalgia, a condition no doctor for the last 6 years has thought of. He immediately started me on different treatments. Anytime I am having horrendous pain that I cannot bare they get me in that day to see what they can do for me. I love that they don't push pain pills and are actually very hesitant to give them, it makes me feel very good to know he is not done trying to get me feeling better without a controlled substance. Recommend to everyone. — Cie, Verified Google Review
